Cool new baby plates!

New plates courtesy of Aunt Rachel. I was able to cover most of the food groups on this plate although I can't say that Miles ate every one but he was certainly curious!
Biryani rice with veggie dumplings (courtesy of trader joes), naan, dried cranberries, hummus and cheddar bunnies.

Chicken sandwich with 2 sides

Organic frozen chicken tender on mini bun with a side of broccoli and cheese and cherry tomatoes. Miles was not a fan of the chicken or the broccoli but ate up the bread and tomatoes.

Rice bowl and juice box

Brown rice with organic black beans, cherry tomatoes and cubed avocado. Almost too pretty to eat. Happy that he liked the beans- another good source of protein since he doesn't seem to like any type of meat (definitely not his daddy's son)

Grand Lux Cafe

Kids Quesadillas were bigger than Miles' head. He was not a fan but enjoyed taking giant spoonfuls of the sour cream. Aftermath below as we tried to soothe him with piles of bread. Didn't work and we had to gobble down our dessert before he had a meltdown.

Seafood dinner

Fresh caught fish bites and corn courtesy of Home Port Restaurant in Menemsha. Baby's first experience with fish- he wasn't too sure about it but gave it a try.

Vacation baby plates

We're on vacation this week so it's a lot of eating out but we're doing breakfast at home. This morning Miles got toast with avocado and tomato cut into quarters.

Pierogies with organic snap peas and tomato

Miles loved the spinach feta pierogies but wasn't so sure about the snap peas. I removed the peas from the pods and he gobbled them right up!

Guest Contributors: Helene and Charlie

My good friend Helene found something her one year old Charlie loves: toast with cream cheese and strawberries. Yum! We'll have to try that soon!

Screw the kids' meal...

Forget the mac and cheese and chicken fingers...miles has a more refined palate. He prefers the salad bar when we done out 🍴🍼🍴🍼

Kidney beans: Tried and failed

Sliced cucumber and yellow zucchini with cherry tomatoes, a slice of American cheese and organic kidney beans. I'll let the photos speak for themself.
